Some people hedge their bets on outcomes, which is understandably human. Other people have some philosophical premises that would be far more horrifying, openly admitted, than a pose of ambiguity. Some people just find rating shades of grey exhausting and retreat into the non-thought of moral equivalence. For me, a group using fetishistic beheading as a political program makes the choice pretty clear ;o)
