DEMOCRATIC COGNITIVE DISCONNECTIONOur friends on the Democratic side of the divide have launched a new venture to play to the activist base under the guise of boldly reaching out to...well.. the center left voter.
Called "
WomenDemocrats.org" this group ( unclear if is a 503(c) or a 527 or something else) is promoting an "
Innovation Agenda" that is remarkably free of any attempt to look at subjects beyond domestic policy. Some of it isn't really that bad and reads pro-connectivity and at least pro-small business - but aren't women or Democrats interested in being innovative in foreign and defense policy ? Or even in macroeconomic issues like Globalization ? This online broadsheet reminds me of something from 1995.
Has foreign policy officially become the new third rail in Democratic politics ?
